A sweet path of growth
From a modest workshop producing its first chocolate-coated wafers to a modern company with a wide range of confectionery products – that’s the story of Majami. Over the decades, the company has expanded its production, diversified its assortment, and gained new customers by combining tradition with innovation.

The Majami Confectionery Production Plant is established. The first product launched on the market was chocolate-coated wafers. It was a modest but meaningful beginning that marked the start of the company’s dynamic growth in the following decades.
Industrial production began. The first product was wafers brought from Silesia and coated with chocolate, then delivered directly to stores using the company’s own transport. This approach bypassed the wholesale network and covered the area of the former Piotrków Voivodeship and neighboring regions. At that time, the plant employed 10 people.

Production of marshmallow jellies, chocolate-covered milk sweets, and sugar- or chocolate-coated jellies began. Both production and employment doubled. Intensive marketing efforts, including participation in trade fairs, aimed to attract new customers and increase brand recognition.
New machinery was purchased and the product range was expanded with the introduction of fat-based candies. Growing competition from Western markets prompted further diversification of production. Marketing and promotion continued to focus on participation in national and international trade fairs.
The product range expanded to include new candies, bars, jelly products, and individually wrapped chocolate-covered milk sweets. Production increased by 300% compared to 1991. On October 10, the company obtained the status of a protected workplace, employing 60% of people with disabilities.
In September, cooperation was established with the Milko Confectionery Factory in Bełchatów. Initially intended as temporary, the collaboration eventually led to the merger of the two companies. Employment increased to around 70 people.
The merger with Milko accelerated growth and enabled entry into Western markets. By the end of the year, the company employed 215 people and produced 3.5 tons of products daily.
The company’s headquarters were moved to a larger facility on Czyżewskiego Street in Bełchatów.
The production hall was expanded, and new lines were launched for products such as caramel sauces and fudge creams.

Production of sesame snacks began, expanding the offer with a new category of sweets.
